What comes to mind when you hear the terms, suave, classy, intelligent, and out-spoken? No, no, not George Clooney; well OK, I’ll give you that one. However those are also befitting terms that come to my mind when talking about a Tuxedo Cat. Tuxedo cats are special in their own right, though they are not a particular breed, but rather have a specific coat pattern that resembles a tuxedo. Perpetually dressed for a black tie affair, a true tuxedo is a bicolored feline that is primarily black, with a definitive pattern of white fur which covers the chin, chest, belly, and paws. The tuxedo coloring is found in almost all breeds of cats including the American Shorthair, Turkish Van and the Manx. While there is no sited research or study to indicate that these cats are more intelligent than most cats, their owners will attest to the belief that these cats are indeed more intelligent and more out-spoken than most cats they have encountered. Research or no research, these beautifully marked felines certainly have a cultured and debonair quality that makes them truly special.
